Stamina Programmable Elliptical Trainer parts do not seem to last long...
This review pertains to model number 55-2000, but should be reflected upon during consideration of any of Stamina's products.

After 3 years of normal use, the crank on the left pedal sheared off from where it connected to the pedal rail. This occurred while I was using it, but thankfully I was not injured during the incident.

Just to be clear, the crank itself snapped into two pieces. It did not come loose due to faulty assembly.

I weigh approximately 225 lbs, which is under the recommended limit of 250 lbs.

I was told by Customer Service that parts were only covered for 90 days and I would have to pay to replace the crank. They could've made more of an effort to keep an existing customer happy since this COULD have resulted in an injury, but Stamina Programmable Elliptical Trainer did not seem to see it that way.

The Stamina Avari GX 8 Cross Trainer Elliptical-Best value for the money...
I'm not saying this is the best elliptical on the market, but for the money it simply cannot be beat. Assembly was straightforward, it's relatively low profile, and it feels very sturdy. I'm very happy with the display and the many different programs, some of which incorporate pushing and pulling the bars, pedaling backwards, and changing speed.

I only have a couple of complaints, but none that would affect my rating. The first is that the machine started making weird noises within a few days of use, namely a low thumping in the rear, and there's some friction in the sliders. I thought it would get worse, as has been the case with other fitness equipment I've owned that has moving parts, but it's been a few weeks now and there's been no change. The noise definitely does not interfere with anything, including watching television at normal volume while working out.

Stamina 1772 Magnetic Elliptical Trainer Customer Reviews..

Quiet and comfortable but not without its flaws..

I read the reviews for the trainer because I wanted something quiet. It is definitely quiet and pretty comfortable to ride. The only problem we have is that one of the screws on the pedals continues to loosen when we go backwards. It's easy to notice because it starts clicking when the screw becomes loose, but still dangerous especially if my kids get on it. We've solved the problem by only going forward.

I bought this machine based on some of the previous reviews I read, and I really like it. It really wasn't all that hard to assemble if you follow the directions it did take a couple of people for one part of the assembly, but other than that it was easy. I love how quiet and smooth this machine is. I think it is a great Stamina 1772 Magnetic Elliptical Trainer  for the cost.

Best value for the money...

The noise definitely does not interfere with anything, including watching television at normal volume while working out.

My second complaint is more of a worry, since the warranty on this product is not as good as other brands offer. I considered this when making my purchase, and decided that it wasn't worth paying at least twice as much for an elliptical with a better replacement policy. As long as I get a year's use out of this machine, it'll already have been a more cost effective option than a gym membership; due to joint problems, I'm only able to use the elliptical and recumbent for cardio, and The elliptical offers the better workout.

The tray below the monitor is perfect for up to two bottles (or one bottle and a TV remote), music device or e-reader, and even a magazine. Although unintended, the smaller handles allow you to read a thicker book as they hold back the pages without making it too difficult to turn them. In short, if you spend any part of your day watching television, listening to music, or reading, you have no excuse not to use the elliptical on a daily basis.

very happy with this purchase!
I purchased this product from TJ MAXX for $79. I already have a very nice Precor EFX Elliptical machine that I purchased to workout on at home but needed something small to exercise on at my boyfriend's apartment in NYC (since gym membership's are much too expensive!). I didn't expect the machine to be anything amazing, but I can definately say that it exceeded my expectations thus far. I put the machine together myself, got on it and it started to feel wobbly...with a little extra arm strength (from my bf) to tighten all the screws, the E100 machine works great!

Pretty Good Stamina SpaceMate E100 Elliptical...
Took me about 30-40 minutes to put this together. Was a bit confusing, but I had to improvise and it was fine. Once assembled, we found a stable place to use it, Stamina SpaceMate E100 Elliptical Trainer it works great so far!

Does the job...
I decided to get into shape in the beginning of the year. I've had this machine now for about 3 months. It's great for people who are just getting use to working out. I love it. It doesn't really simulate running though...more like speed walking. It's definitely worth the $100. I've just recently come across some creaking noises, but I use it at least 4 hours a week so it could be just normal wear and tear.


I do recommend this machine.

Stamina 55-2065 Dual Action Elite Programmable Elliptical / Stepper User Reviews..

A two in one exercise machine? How can you go wrong?
The Stamina 55-2065 Elliptical/Stepper is a nice piece of equipment. The assembly was pretty straight-forward. It took about an hour and thirty minutes which I don't think was too bad. This machine is not totally quiet but it doesn't make any squeaking, squealing and/or knocking noises like other ellipticals that I've tried. I love the great workout you get with this machine. It works almost every muscle in my body. The workout programs are quite challenging, which is a good thing. I'm still on Level 1 whereas when I was going to the gym and using their machines I was on Level 5. So this is no easy machine, again, that's a good thing.

- Takes up little space and quite compact especially if you want to put it in a small space like a bedroom(where I have mine).

- Two machines in one! It's an elliptical and a stepper and it's easy to switch from one to the other. There's your value right there. No need to buy two machines.

- Well laid out out button controls and clear display

- A nice variety of different settings to try or to challenge yourself. They'll always be a program that will give you the intense workout that you want. So this machine is great for people of all fitness levels.
